Flirt

There is a young man and young woman sitting on the couch next to us. They must have met each other fairly recently because they’re in a conversation that is more about finding out about one another than it is about discussing any pertinent issue. Of course their topic of choice is about class schedules and schoolwork, the perfect choice for flirting in the library. From what I can see the boy definitely likes her. He’s been pretty confident, and has been turned toward her in direct eye contact the whole time with a broad smile on his face. As for the girl, she’s a little bit harder to read. Due to the fact that she’s twirling her phone around in her hand, and looking around the room, she is obviously a little anxious about something, either because she likes him, or she wants the conversation to end. The fact that she’s sticking around though must mean that she’s enjoying herself. Who knows, maybe she’s waiting for a friend. She’s also smiling though, and it seems genuine, so maybe she likes him. She seems a little apprehensive, as if she’s not sure herself whether or not she likes him. The boy’s trying really hard though, and keeps coming up with new questions for her. He seems like a nice guy; clean-cut hair, glasses, button up shirt. A safe bet. If he wins her over today, and gets a first date, we may be considering marriage.

  1. I love the play by play. It makes me want to interrupt with a pie in the face or a squirt gun attack.
