Televsion

Television: the biggest waist of time in a human’s life. The other day I realized that I grew up watching a lot of television. Every Saturday morning I would be watching cartoons, and even when I was a teenager I spent a lot of late nights watching the tube. Most of the time I would watch reality TV shows, or sports programs. As of late I realized that I spent a good majority of my youth watching other people fulfill their dreams instead of going out and fulfilling my own. How sad is that. Time honestly is so precious, and we don’t have much to waste. We really only get about 15 hours each day to do the things we need to, and that’s if we wake up at a decent hour. I never have been the best organizer, and I tend to do things last minute. But if I could cut out something so simple as watching television, then I would have so much more time on my hands to do the things I love, and to expand my personal skills. The world today is so media-driven that I’m not sure how I’m going to keep this out of my children’s lives someday. Maybe I should invent a TV time control so that kids can only watch a certain amount of garbage a day. Help them get some real mental exercises, like reading a book or something.
