Russian Billiards

The other day I was playing pool with my younger brothers. It was late at night, and we were just messing around. I’m honestly not very good at all, I never have been. Playing pool reminded me of a time on my mission in Ukraine when one of our investigators invited us over to play some billiards with him. I was a younger missionary, and was a little sketched out when we walked in to this pool bar. I thought, oh well we got to do what we’ve got to do in order to connect with this guy, and he sure loves billiards. I was surprised to see that it was a totally different game. The table was quite a bit larger. The balls were all white, and bigger. Despite this already greater challenge, the pockets were even smaller than normal. The rules to the game are quite simple.  There was no cue ball, but you are allowed to use any ball as the cue ball to hit another in. You keep score simply by whoever hits the most balls in. This man Andrei was really good. He sunk shots in all day while we were just trying to figure out how to fit those huge balls into the tiny pockets.
